Dear Hubzillians at !Hubzilla Support Forum
On rare occasions, the Stream of my channel on the own hub is stuck with the following partially loaded page:
A manual reload within the browser usually leads to the wanted page.
My guess: The PHP process/thread in charge of filling the page with content times out, before the (Maria-)DB server returns with the requested data. Can this be possible? Is there a work around? Can you give some more hints where to look at (in the logs)? Thank you in advance.
As a remark: The hub is running on an (Arch Linux based) VM, and it seems to me from other hickups that the IO performance of the server is the bottleneck. So, the a.m. guess might be consistent, and of course this is to be discussed with the provider. I do not blame Hubzilla for that.
But it leads me to a more general DB question: Do DB/table optimizations aside of what Hubzilla potentially does by itself as, e.g., described under #^Optimization and Tuning
for MariaDB make sense, or are these not woth the effort. Thank you.
